The rainbow mountain, , known as the 7-color mountain, is a magical place where you can find roads from the Quechua time. They were used for products exchange together with other roads (4 Quechua regions), becoming nowadays a natural wonder similar to the Rainbow Mountains, in China.

Day 1: Cusco – Checacupe – Pitumarca- Quechuyno- Cerro Colorado – Cusco

Early in the morning, around 3:30am, we will leave the hotel in Cusco towards Qollasuyo, south of the ancient Quechua (Cusco), important part of Tawantinsuyo (4 ancient Inca regions). We will have a car trip for 4 hours, passing through the Checacupe village, the heading to the village of Pitumarka, where we will finally arrive in Quechuyno, the starting point of our hike. Here we will stop for breakfast, and, after a brief talk with the passengers, we will start our hike at the foot of Ausangate snow; an uphill hike of approximately 3 hours until the highest peak of the Cerro Colorado.
During this trip we will be able to see the different varieties of South American camelids (llamas, vicuñas). Upon arrival at the colorful mountain we will have time to take pictures of this enigmatic place. Following we will continue our downhill hiking for 3 hours, on flat areas, until our starting point (Quechuyno), where we will have lunch and return to Cusco, arriving there at 9pm.
